As I slowly transitioned into a healthier lifestyle, I’ve grown so used to clean eating and loving how good I feel. I can attest to the fact that eating healthy really does make you crave healthily. don’t really ever crave any fast or fried food, I would much rather have some clean protein and vegetables or a light salad. However, I ALWAYS crave sweets. (If anyone has any tips on getting rid of it let me know!) Staying away from pies, ice cream and cookies is the hardest thing for me. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy the occasional gelato and cookies but I’m constantly looking for healthier alternatives that I can enjoy daily guilt-free. Yes, I’ve heard of halo top and I am your typical halo top and good pop fan. Their macros and calorie count make them fit perfectly into my daily goals and give me the sweet taste I always look for after my dinner. However, these treats are not cheap at all, especially when you have half a pint every night. Realizing I was spending at least $20 a week on these made me want to find a homemade alternative to my sweets problem. Now, I struggle to fit anything in my fridge because my popsicles have taken over. I always keep fruit, yogurt or matcha ice popsicles in the fridge. My go-to’s are raspberry matcha popsicles because they are super easy to make and really low calorie and refreshing. Give them a try and let me know what you think!
RASPBERRY MATCHA POPSICLES:
Popsicle Mold (I got mine at Amazon, also available at most Walmarts and Heb’s)
Matcha powder( I prefer to use our packets with stevia but I have a huge sweet tooth)
Add fresh raspberries to the bottom of the popsicle mold. Mix together the coconut milk and matcha with stevia. Add some of the milk and matcha mixes over the raspberries. Add more raspberries and then more coconut milk matcha mix. Freeze overnight or for at least 6 hours and enjoy! These popsicles are so fresh and low in calorie you can have one( or two, or three) everyday guilt free!
